SkimF / About the app
About SkimF
SkimF is a free extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge that remembers which property listings you have hidden, saved or written a note on, and applies those decisions again across Zillow, Realtor.com, Redfin, Sreality.cz, Bezrealitky.cz, Reality.iDNES.cz and ČESKÉREALITY.cz, for people searching for a home on more than one site.
What SkimF does
Hides listings you have ruled out
One click fades a listing out of the results. The decision is kept against the property, not the advert, so the same home hidden again under a new listing ID fades on its own. Nothing is deleted and one more click brings it back.
Keeps every favorite in one panel
The heart saves a listing from any supported site into the browser's side panel, with its photo, price, size and your note. You get one list instead of four or six separate accounts of saved homes, and it needs no account of ours.
Notes stuck onto the listing
A note sits on the photo like a post-it, up to 500 characters. It shows on the card in the results, on the listing page and in the favorites panel, and it follows the property when the same home appears on another site.
Skim Mode, a keyboard pass over the results
Skim Mode shows one listing at a time, full screen: photo, price, key facts. The left arrow hides, the right arrow saves, space skips. A page of results takes minutes instead of an evening of open tabs.
Photos without opening the listing
The camera button opens the whole photo set over the results, with F to save, H to hide and Esc to close. On most supported sites you can also step through the photos on the card itself.
What makes SkimF different
Free, with no account and no server of ours
SkimF costs nothing, asks for no registration and has no backend. FlatScan Insight, the closest Czech overlay, charges 99 CZK per city per month, requires an account and runs server-side; Nemovitomat.cz is a paid subscription service. Your decisions never leave your browser.
It subtracts inside the portal, instead of building another database
Nemovitomat.cz aggregates 20 Czech portals into its own catalogue of 3.7 million records and merges repeats into about 1.5 million properties, which means a second website to work in. SkimF changes the results page you are already on, and adds no place to visit.
Decisions attach to the property, not to the advert ID
Zillow Quick Hide hides by listing ID, so the same house re-posted comes back. SkimF scores the match from location, address, size and layout, hides automatically from 86 % confidence, marks weaker matches instead of hiding them, and shows what any carried-over decision was based on.
One memory across seven sites, with duplicates recognised
Padzilly Homes puts Zillow and Realtor.com favorites into one list but does not deduplicate, so the same house lands twice. SkimF matches within a market, links the card to the same home on the other sites, and carries hides, favorites and notes across all of it.
A triage mode nobody else ships
Of the extensions surveyed in Czechia, the United States and Germany in August 2026, none offers a full-screen, keyboard-driven pass over a page of results. Competing tools add data to cards (price per m², days on market, map layers); SkimF is built to get through them.
Competitor details come from our own market survey of 29 August 2026 and describe those products as they were on that date. SkimF is not affiliated with any of them, or with the portals it runs on.
Who uses SkimF
- Home buyers and renters searching on two or more sites at once, typically over several weeks or months.
- US house hunters splitting their search between Zillow, Realtor.com and Redfin.
- Czech house hunters on Sreality, Bezrealitky, iDNES Reality and ČESKÉREALITY.
- Couples and families where two people look at the same search and need to leave each other notes on the listing itself.
- Small-scale property investors doing a repeat weekly pass over the same neighbourhood, where everything already judged is noise.
- Anyone who prefers a tool that asks for no account and sends nothing without asking.
The team behind SkimF
SkimF is made by BLABU CZ s.r.o., a Czech software company founded on 14 February 2019 and based in Prague.
Founder: Petr Kováčik, who wrote SkimF after his own house search kept serving him the same listings twice. He builds and maintains the extension with one more developer. LinkedIn.
How it started: the first version was written on 28 August 2026, after one search where the same flat kept coming back under new advert IDs and the portals offered no way to say "I have already decided about this one". The extension has shipped continuously since, and is at version 0.3.50.
The team: a two-person team builds and maintains it, with no outside investors.
How SkimF works
Getting started
Install from the Chrome Web Store or from Edge Add-ons, then open a search on any supported site. There is no sign-up and no setup: the buttons appear on the listing cards straight away.
Support
Support runs by e-mail at support@blabu.com, answered by the people who build the extension, within two business days. Bug reports about a specific listing are most useful with the listing's link.
Updates
The browser updates the extension on its own. Portals change their pages often, so fixes ship in days rather than on a release schedule.
Your data
Everything is stored in your browser. Hidden and saved listings travel between your own computers through your browser profile; notes stay on the device. You can export or delete all of it in the extension's settings.

Frequently asked questions
Is SkimF free?
Yes. The extension is free, with no account and no payment details. A paid tier with a higher limit is planned; until it exists, everyone is on the free tier.
Which sites does SkimF work on?
Zillow, Realtor.com and Redfin in the United States, Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket in the United Kingdom, ImmoScout24, immowelt and Kleinanzeigen in Germany, willhaben, ImmoScout24 and immowelt in Austria, Homegate, ImmoScout24 and Flatfox in Switzerland, and Sreality.cz, Bezrealitky.cz, Reality.iDNES.cz and ČESKÉREALITY.cz in Czechia. It does not run on any other site.
Does SkimF see what I browse?
No. The extension has no server and no account, so nothing about your searching reaches us. Decisions are stored in your browser and synced between your own computers by the browser. The website measures visits without cookies, which the privacy policy describes.
How does it recognise the same home twice?
It scores a match from location, address, size and layout. Above 86 % it applies your earlier decision and shows what the match was based on; between 72 and 86 % it only marks the card. Sale and rental listings are never matched to each other.
Will it hide something I wanted to see?
It can, which is why nothing disappears silently. A hidden card stays in place, faded, every carried-over decision can be undone with "Not the same", and the threshold is deliberately set to miss a duplicate rather than hide a home you wanted.
What happens to my data if I uninstall it?
It is deleted, including the copy the browser synced to your account. Export your data first from Settings, Data and privacy, if you want to keep it.
Does it work in Firefox, Safari or on a phone?
Not yet. SkimF runs in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on desktop computers. Neither browser installs extensions on a phone, which is their limit rather than ours.
Does SkimF change what the portals show me?
Only in your own browser, and only what you asked for: your hidden listings fade, your saved ones are marked, your notes appear. Nothing is sent to the portals and no listing data is changed for anyone else.
